Retired Racehorse

The author on horseback, Aqueduct Racetrack, Queens NY

Since 2010, I’ve been writing a blog called Retired Racehorse. Starting out as a training blog to chronicle my fresh-off-the-racetrack Thoroughbred, Final Call, it later developed into a comprehensive look at the Thoroughbred world, from the yearlings in the sales ring at Keeneland, to training on the racetrack each morning, to their retirement and careers as show horses, best friends, and breeding stock.

Retired Racehorse also included my daily adventures as an exercise rider at Aqueduct Racetrack in Queens, New York, where I spent six months working for a racing stable, riding horses of all ages, taking them to races, and learning how to run a shedrow.

If you’re at all interested in Thoroughbreds, Retired Racehorse is a must-read.

And with its high Google Ranking, Retired Racehorse offers lucrative advertising and product review opportunities for equestrian businesses. Contact me at nkreinert@nyc.rr.com for more information.
